What is this preparation for?

Elinea Rx Finasteride 0.1% + Minoxidil 7% Solution is a custom-formulated preparation designed to better meet your individual needs as determined by your healthcare provider. Its active ingredients work synergistically toward this goal. Finasteride is used topically to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenic alopecia) and has been evaluated for indication of female pattern hair loss in female patients not at risk of becoming pregnant. Minoxidil is widely used topically for the treatment of hair loss in topical form. It is effective in both the prevention of loss and in hair re-growth in males and females.

How to Store this Preparation

This preparation should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place.

Potential Side Effects

Elinea Rx Finasteride 0.1% + Minoxidil 7% Solution is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components contained in this product. Use with caution in patients with known drug sensitivities. Local site reactions such as application site redness, application site irritation, local skin exfoliation, application site itchiness, application site burning, local desquamation may be
a sign of adverse reactions. Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional. Call your doctor or get medical help if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away.

Precautions

Patients may have an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in this custom-formulated preparation. It is advisable to first test the preparation before applying it on a larger area of the body. Apply a very small amount of medication on a quarter sized area on the forearm to test. Allow the medication to stay for about 30 minutes. If a fast reaction type of allergy occurs, the area will be red and itchy. If a slow reaction type of allergy occurs, the same symptoms may occur after 48 hours. If any of these situations occur, stop using the preparation and call your health care practitioner. The absence of any reaction to this test is no guarantee that an allergic reaction may not occur during future uses of this preparation.

Dosages

The dosage varies and depends upon the area to be applied, vascularity of the tissues, individual tolerance, and desired outcome. The lowest dosage needed to provide desired outcome should be administered. Follow your doctor's instructions when using this preparation.

Interactions with Other Medications

When Elinea Rx Finasteride 0.1% + Minoxidil 7% Solution is used concomitantly with other products containing: FINASTERIDE, MINOXIDIL the total dose contributed by all formulations must be kept in mind. The amount absorbed is determined by the area over which it is applied and the duration of application,
